(and also every member of a social run club)

Run Clubs. They seem to be everywhere these days – they’re used for fitness, they’re used for friendship, and they’re even used for dating. And because they’re everywhere, finding the right one for you can be harder than ever – is there one in your neighbourhood? Is there one for your pace? Is there one that works with your schedule?

We hear you. So we’ve broken down all of Vancouver’s best run clubs in one place, so you can find the one that’s right for you.

Social Run Clubs – What are they?

But first – if you’re new to Vancouver’s world of running clubs, what even are they? Great question, because they’re probably not what you think.

We’ve painstakingly sampled (almost) all of the city’s run clubs, and one thing we can say for sure is that no two social running groups are the same. Some are definitely more focused on the running, with longer routes & faster pace times. Others are much more focused on the social with relaxed paces and drinks, food or coffee built into the experience afterwards. Others are tailored to specific demographics (like women, or LGBTQIA+) and some are intentionally slow to make starting running less intimidating. There truly is something for everyone.
